Cedar Lodge School, one of the oldest Special Schools in Northern Ireland, is a Belfast Education and Library Board controlled, co-educational, special school catering for the needs of pupils (4-16 years age range) who experience a range of medical difficulties and associated emotional, social or behavioural problems. The school also provides provision for pupils with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Pupils are admitted on the joint recommendation of the schools medical and psychological services and may be transferred back to mainstream provision also on their recommendation.
