Chavey Down Short Break

Quarriers

Main information

Type of service: Outreach, Respite and short breaks

Chavey Down provides residential short breaks, playscheme and outreach support for children and young people with a disability. We work with over 60 people from 0 to 18, with the majority between 10 and 16 years old. We have 6 single bedrooms in a fully accessible bungalow. The length of time people stay at Chavey Down varies. It is usually agreed between the people staying with us and their care manager. Our short breaks start on a Friday until Monday, or from Monday to Friday. If you need longer than this, please speak to the Project Manager. We also provide a playscheme in partnership with East Renfrewshire Council during the holiday periods. We also provide outreach support to young people. This can be in their own home or to enable them to access their local community.
