Main information

Type of service: Advocacy (general)

Advocacy for adults with mental health problems and/or learning difficulties in Chester, Neston and Ellesmere Port. The aim of the advocacy service is to enable and empower adults with mental health problems or learning disabilities by helping each person to have a 'voice' in all issues important to them. We work by an independent, confidential and non-judgemental code of practice. We recognise that each person is an individual who has issues which are important to them and that abilities to cope vary considerably. Therefore, it is important that with each advocacy intervention we undertake for the individual, he or she is included and consulted at each stage of the process. Advocacy can be delivered in many different ways. Please navigate the website to view all the services we have to offer. The Service We Provide is: Independent - we always act in the interest of our service users and are not influenced by any external agencies or bodies; Confidential - everything YOU say to US is treated in the strictest confidence; Free - no one ever has to pay for using our service; Non-Judgmental - our service users are treated with respect. We make no assumptions or judgements about our service users, and every enquiry is treated seriously. CEPIA is available within the Hospital and Local Community. Offers Crisis/Issue based Advocacy, Citizen Advocacy, Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA), Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA)..
