Clifton Hill School is a Surrey County Council funded day school for pupils who have severe or multiple and profound learning difficulties. Students are divided into class groups of approximately 9 students. Each class has a teacher, a welfare assistant and a special needs assistant (depending on needs of students in class). All classes are set according to Key Stage and where possible, ability grouped. The school has one specialist class for profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) students. Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communication handicapped Children (TEACCH) is used with students diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders (ASDs). The school endeavours to provide meaningful integration with inclusion opportunities for students either in school or in local mainstream schools according to individual needs. Volunteers may be accepted to work with the pupils.
