Patients are normally referred to Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) through a GP or other health professional. The Service caters for children and young people up to the age of 18. The service coverage depends on the patient's G.P and includes Chippenham, Malmesbury, Corsham, Trowbridge and Devizes. However, service referrals for the whole of Wiltshire should be directed to this team. The team caters for children and young people with autism spectrum disorders and accompanying mental health problems. They carry out ASD assessments in some cases or will refer them on to other services when appropriate.
