Type of service: Residential services

Provides a social, therapeutic living and working community for adults with learning disabilities. Life in the community is based on therapeutic work, which includes the production of candles, bread, home and garden furniture and woven products in established workshops. Education and social training are provided through regular life skills groups, literacy and artistic classes. Corbenic is home to 27 residents, together with 12 co-workers and 6 employed house parents. The residents have access to a local swimming pool, badminton classes and local shopping trips. Several individuals attend local meetings of various societies and there is the possibility for regular attendance at church. Any type of referral accepted. Volunteers accepted.
