Main information

Type of service: Outreach - education, Play and leisure

Create is one of the United Kingdom’s (UK’s) newest charities. It is passionate about the creative arts and their power to help improve the lives of some of the most disadvantaged and vulnerable people in our society. The charity's creative:space events are designed to provide children with autism with creative arts experiences. creative:space is a series of interactive music events that centre on a one-hour concert performed by professional musicians. Percussion instruments are distributed to enable families to take part in the music-making and plenty of space is provided so that children and their families can move around freely and dance. Colouring activities, including mask-making, are also supplied. Each event has a theme (eg: round the world; carnival). creative:space allows everyone to be themselves in a safe, supportive and fun environment.
