Type of service: Local groups
Website: http://www.luton.gov.uk
The Integrated Services for Children with Additional Needs (ISCAN) Education Team in Luton are developing a group to support fathers/male carers of children with autism spectrum disorders (ASDs)/Asperger syndrome. The group meet on a regular basis, in the evenings. It is for men, who are currently unable to access the parent LINK groups already run by Autism Bedfordshire (held during the day or at the Saturday Loads of Autistic Fun (L.O.A.F.) sessions). It is hoped that there will be opportunities to plan trips and evenings out, and for fathers/carers to have the chance to offer each other practical suggestions and support.
