Disability West Lothian is a group that brings together individuals and representatives of organisations who are committed to improving the quality of life of disabled people in West Lothian. Disability West Lothian has as members, individuals who reflect a broad range of interests and skills, from whom a board of management is elected annually. Services include: disability information and advice service - including a newsletter; learning disability specific information and research work - including a learning disability factsheet; disability specific forums; community transport - group hire of accessible minibus; West Lothian Access Committee and Access Audits; disability awareness raising and training sessions; and consultation work on disability related issues. The service also provides a peer counselling service.
