Donard School is a controlled, co-educational school which caters for pupils with special educational needs (SEN), aged from 3 to 19 years. This purpose built school is located close to the Banbridge Campus of Southern Regional College. There are 8 bright and spacious classrooms as well as several specialised rooms such as soft play, a multi-sensory room, library, and specially equipped rooms for therapy provision. Pupils also enjoy enclosed outdoor play facilities and playground. Pupils are admitted to the school by Southern Education and Library Board. The school also has an Early Years and school-years class which provides autism specific provision. In the Leavers Class the pupils work closely with the Careers Officer and the local Further Education (FE) College, and some pupils sample work placements in the community.
