Type of service: Diagnostic services

Offers consultation appointments and assessments for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Includes carrying out ASD assessments in complex presentations (e.g. such as in selective mutism), Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), or Extreme Demand Avoidance. A comprehensive multidisciplinary report co-signed by a senior clinical psychologist (approximately 25 -30 pages) will be produced detailing the assessment findings including personalised recommendations (educational, clinical, etc) for managing the young person's difficulties and fostering their skills.
The ASD assessment process will be as patient-centred as possible and efforts will be made to ensure that the assessments provide long-term benefits for children with ASD through providing families with tailor-made recommendations & shared with everyone involved in their child's care. The service aims to deliver a personalised, child-centred and bespoke treatment. Will assist in court cases for issues relating to Education, Community Care and Forensic.
Consultations are conducted in child-friendly clinical rooms in London are located in Harley Street, Earls Court, Bank and Canary Wharf. Consultations with parents are also provided by skype.

Dr Gloria Dura-Vila is a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and the Medical Lead for the ASD Pathway in Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

Awarded a PDA Star by the PDA Society for her commitment to supporting children and families living with PDA in May 2019.
