Type of service: Day schools, Schools

Eagle House School, Mitcham, is an independent co-educational primary day school providing specialised education for children aged 4 to 12 years who have a diagnosis of an autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Asperger syndrome, and/or associated social and communication difficulties. We are unique in our multidisciplinary approach to working with children with autism and aim to be much more than just a school through the provision of a personalised specialist curriculum. Our multidisciplinary approach includes input from speech & language therapy, occupational therapy, music therapy and psychology. We believe we can develop the global needs of our children, not just their education. Volunteers may be accepted to work with the pupils. The school uses the Structure, Positive (approaches and expectations), Empathy, Low arousal, Links (SPELL) framework.
