Farm Ability is a programme of the Farm Inspiration Trust (UK Registered Charity no. 1153282). We provide training, therapeutic activities and work experience for adults with autism and learning disabilities, in a supportive and caring environment on an organic, livestock farm. Our co-farmers learn how to care for animals, ensuring they are happy and healthy, they gain skills in horticulture, and learn how to prepare healthy food using fresh produce they've harvested from our two organic vegetable gardens. Through this, they learn how to work as a team and that they 'can do', raising confidence and ultimately achievement - all this while having fun too! We work in partnership with various local and national organisations. These include: FAI Farms who generously host the Farm Inspiration Trust on their farm; LEAF (Linking the Environment and Farming) and the Sensory Trust. We are part of their Let Nature Feed Your Senses which offers sensory rich countryside visits to groups with disabilities; and, Oxfordshire Adult Learning. We are members of Care Farming UK.
