Referral is via the local authority Integrated Children's Services. We are a unit within a mainstream school catering for students with a range of additional needs including autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Within the centre, we provide an individualised approach to the curriculum centred around a communication rich environment. A range of augmentative and alter-native communication strategies are supported. Students attending a the centre receive a broad general education and a senior phase focussing on skills for life, learning and work. Volunteers may be accepted to work with the pupils (Buddies within school).
