Gender Connect

Achieve together

Main information

Type of service: Befriending/mentoring, Social groups

We recognised the intensified difficulty concerning social integration when the people we support are neuro diverse and gender diverse. This is why we have created Gender Connect ™. Gender Connect ™ is a safe space and social networking event that has been created for transgender, non-binary, gender diverse, and gender exploring individuals, who are autistic, have mental health conditions, and/or a learning disability (neurodiversity). This is an event that is exclusively for transgender, non-binary and gender diverse individuals, or those who are exploring their gender identity. These events offer individuals the chance to connect with likeminded people, discuss and share stories, establish friendships, advocate in each other, and socialise in a safe space. These events are available online and a meeting code can be acquired through enquiry. The meetings are hosted online to allow greater reach to people who may want to access these events. Our group meets on the last Monday of every month.
