Type of service: Day schools, Schools

Pupils enter the Department of Additional Support (DAS) via a referral from the primary school or Additional Support Departments attached to the primary school. The pupils get offered an adapted curriculum tailored to meet their individual needs. This can include some mainstream integration, attending subjects as a DAS group or lessons delivered totally within the DAS. There are 5 class groups for the 46 pupils in the department currently. Volunteers may be accepted to work with the pupils. Pupils must be Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) cleared.
