Hazel Oak is an all age community special school for children with learning difficulties. All pupils have a statement of special educational needs (SEN) and are referred to us via the Local Authority (LA). Our curriculum encompasses the requirements of the National Curriculum but offers additional challenge-based learning as part of our Business and Enterprise status. We have an individualised approach to meeting learning needs and work effectively with a group of agencies to ensure support for all aspects of learning, including emotional and social support. Students are able to gain a rrange of accreditation, including General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSEs) and Entry levels. Our sixth form's curriculum focuses on basic and vocational skills. Volunteers may be accepted to work with the pupils.
