The college campus building, with residential accommodation, is situated on a housing estate in the large village of Sileby, which is around ten miles north of Leicester. The college also provides accommodation for long term residents in nearby houses. In addition the college provides day provision. All students have the opportunity to develop independent living skills, social, literacy, numeracy and communication skills.

The college's resources include an e-retail enterprise facility and internet cafe in Loughborough called "Sip and Surf", horticulture and woodwork enterprises and a tea room/sweet shop/internet cafe called 'Barrow of Treats' in a nearby village.

Teaching and learning takes place in realistic working environments, with sessions tailored for each individual learner. Learners are encouraged to review and assess their own development. Learners' programmes are designed to meet their individual needs with opportunities to learn and practice new work skills in an innovative range of internal and external work placements. There are also formal partnership agreements with three local general further education (FE) colleges. The college offers support and guidance along with regular tutorials to review the learners' entire programme.

Volunteers may be accepted to work with the pupils.
