Type of service: Assessment, Diagnostic services, Interventions and therapies

The service provides diagnostic assessments for children and adults; post-diagnostic support including psychoeducation and therapy. We offer a range of assessment and intervention services to children, adults and families. We also offer training and consultancy services to schools, colleges, training institutions, employers and any service that works with children, young people and families. We have a range of associates who are quality assured and complement the work we do directly with clients. Interventions we offer for nuero-developmental conditions include: Psychoeducation; Group based support for social skills & relationships; Cognitive Behaviour Therapy; Medication & medical reviews, where clinically indicated; and Coaching for attention/executive function difficulties. We also offer individual psychotherapy for children or adults; trauma-related intervention, including Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR); family work, including systemic family therapy and couples work through our associates. For diagnostic assessment of autism spectrum conditions (ASCs), we use a range of assessment tools (including the Autism Diagnostic Interview (ADI), developmental, dimensional and diagnostic interview (3di), Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-II) and structured observation in context) dependent on what is clinically indicated. The service also provides independent expert reports and visits a client's nursery school or college.

Assessment procedure: Autism Diagnostic Interview (ADI), developmental, dimensional and diagnostic interview (3di), Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-II) and structured observations.

Multi-disciplinary assessment: Psychiatry and Educational Psychology.
