Dr. Jo Coombs at Join Psychology is an experienced Consultant Clinical Psychologist offering comprehensive autism diagnostic assessments for people aged 16+. All assessments adhere to the recommendations for adult autism diagnosis in the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) and include gold-standard assessment measures, including the Diagnostic Interview for Social and Communication Disorders (DISCO) and Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2). All assessments include a summary and full report. Dr. Jo Coombs and her team have particular expertise in the assessment of autism in women and in differentiating autism from complex trauma. They also provide autism and psychological assessments for people in family court proceedings where there are concerns about how autism and mental health may impact on parenting. Join Psychology also offer post-diagnostic support and adapted psychological therapies for autistic adults and their families/supporters.
