KidsTalk is based in North Herefordshire and provides services to children from birth to 10 years, in their home or school. Amanda Fox is a qualified Speech and Language Therapist with over 10 years experience of working with children with speech, language and communication disorders. She has a great deal of experience of working within the school setting, having previously worked in a specialist speech and language therapy unit. She also has experience of working with preschoolers with complex needs within the clinic setting. Amanda is trained in the Hanen programmes: It Takes Two to Talk, More Than Words and Target Word. She is also trained in the Lidcombe Programme of Early Stuttering Intervention. Amanda has a special interest in working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Specific Language Impairment, phonological disorders and elective mutism. Assessments are carried out in the client's home or school, with parents in attendance. Standardised assessments are used along with informal assessment/observation and discussion with parents, teachers and other professionals. A summary report of the assessment findings is provided.
