Knowsley Central School provides specialist provision for pupils aged between 3 and 14 years who have complex needs including, Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Social, Emotional and Behavioural difficulties (SEBD). In September 2011 we opened our Key Stage 3 provision for pupils with ASC. In addition, the centre provides support through service level agreements to 19 primary schools. We provide training for school staff and parents across our partner schools on a wide range of topics to support the needs of their children. The borough's ASC specialist teachers are based at the Centre, providing support for children and young people at school and at home. There are a small number of pupils from neighbouring boroughs.
