Lancashire Community Services North 2
Main information
NAS Community Services (North 2) provides support for adults over the age of 18 years old with autistic spectrum conditions. We aim to support people to develop their skills and abilities and to lead fulfilling lives.
People live in their own homes and receive support to maintain their own tenancies.
Support is tailored to meet each individual’s needs and preferences. We promote community involvement, support to access further education, employment, recreation and to develop meaningful relationships.
Each person has their own allocated support team including key workers to ensure consistency of support.
Whatever the race or culture, all areas of life are considered in partnership with the parents and social workers and strive to meet needs such as religious observance, diet, hygiene, clothing and decor.
All support is person centred and individualised. Autism specific strategies and interventions are used alongside the person’s preferred method of communication, including a variety of visual strategies, to promote informed choice and enable each individual to attain their personal goals.
