Formerly called Sounds of Progress, Limelight Music produce inclusive professional music theatre. They provide music and performance opportunities for people with physical, learning and social disabilities, empowering them to aspire to their maximum potential. They work with other partners to advocate wider participation in the professional arena for disabled musicians/performers and ensure the highest possible standards for our tutors, participants, performance and operational practice. Throughout each year the company run professionally supervised music, drama and composing sessions for disabled groups and individuals of all ages, most of whom are company members developed through our extensive workshop programme. It also houses a recording studio, space for hire, and a training and mentoring scheme. Volunteers may be accepted to work with the service users.
