The Lincolnshire Autistic Society (LAS) was formed in 1977. It has grown considerably and is a mixture of people with autism, parents, carers, family members and professionals. At the same time local parent support groups have sprung up to address the needs in particular areas of Lincolnshire. The LAS works in partnership with The National Autistic Society and with all the statutory, voluntary and private agencies within the county to raise awareness of autism, provide information and training and encourage and promote the development of resources for people with autism and their carers. .
