In a typical music therapy session the therapist and client create music together using voice, keyboard and a variety of other instruments. The music can take the form of improvisation, song writing, listening and other musical games. Through music, the therapist facilitates new modes of expression and communication for the client by establishing a relationship in a safe and supported environment. In turn, the client may experience greater confidence, self-esteem and self-awareness. Both individual and group sessions are available depending on the needs of the client. The service offers to: provide independent expert reports, make home visits, visit a clients nursery school or college..
