Missing Link

Main information

Type of service: Campaigning and lobbying organisations

Missing Link is an Asperger Syndrome Social and Action Group, run by people with Autistic Spectrum Conditions in Herefordshire, Worcestershire and surrounding counties. It aims to promote the independence and freedom of Aspies, as well as promote Aspies as a missing part of the chain in the fabric of society's progression. It promotes the benefits that Aspies can bring to society as a whole when allowed to participate and integrate into it, rather than being segregated. Missing Link is also a community action group designed to discuss and raise issues of importance to the Asperger community with, for example local councillors and organisations. It was set up in 2008 as a response to the growing problems being encountered in Herefordshire, especially by those with ASC's including the lack of real job opportunities and the lack of a specialist team to deal with ASC matters. The group meets at The King's Fee Weatherspoons, Commercial Road, Hereford when requests are made to meet. In order to request a meeting please contact the relevant area co-ordinator.
