Type of service: Speech and Language Therapists (independent)

Myra Pontac provides speech and language therapy assessment and therapy. She has particular expertise in providing reports and assessments for tribunal and has done literally hundreds of cases for pupils with autism, particularly those wishing to seek changes to part 4 (school placement) of their Statement. She has over 20 years experience of working with pupils with autism and currently, as well as running her own practice she is a Consultant Speech and Language Therapist with the British Institute for Brain Injured Children where 70% of the clients have an ASD diagnosis. She has also worked full time in an ASD schoool as well as in a Language Unit. A full range of standardised assessments are used. Clients will always receive a very detailed assessment using appropriate tests and assessment methods according to needs. Independent expert reports can be provided and Myra Pontac always sees clients in their own homes or schools.
