Autism Service Directory

Neuro Coral Psychology

Main information

Service categories: Counselling and therapies, Diagnosticians

We offer Autism, ADHD, and Learning Disability diagnostic assessments and support sessions for children, young people and adults, in Cambridgeshire and beyond. We are skilled in assessing features of neurodivergence which are often missed, including in girls and women or those who may mask their differences.

All of our assessments are thorough and follow National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) guidelines. We are trained in widely recognised diagnostic assessment tools, for example the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS), the Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (ADI-R), the Diagnostic Interview for Social and Communication differences (DISCO), and the QbCheck to objectively measure core ADHD features. However, we recognise that assessment tools are just one part of the process. There are limitations to many of these tools as they do not always capture more subtle presentations or masking. That’s why we collect information in a range of different ways and from numerous sources where possible, including school observations if applicable. Most importantly, our assessments are completed in a collaborative and exploratory way, supporting people to discover and understand their individual strengths and needs.

We recognise that diagnosis is just the start of the journey for many people. That's why we also offer post-diagnostic support sessions, parenting support, and professional consultation. These sessions can be used to learn more about neurodivergence, to support adjustment to diagnosis, to explore tricky parenting dilemmas, or to think about reasonable adjustments that can be made at school, college or work.
