Autism Service Directory

Now Project

Belfast

Main information

Type of service: Employment services

Aims to provide high quality training and support to enable people with learning difficulties, including autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) to get the job they want and keep it. We provide three main services: Employment Service; Training; and a Transitions Service. NOW's Employment Service uses the model of Supported Employment to enable people with learning disabilities/difficulties to secured paid job opportunities. NOW delivers the WorkableNI and New Deal for Disabled (NDDP) programmes funded by the Department for Employment and Learning (DEL). Our Training Service provides adults with learning difficulties accredited training courses and the opportunity to gain accredited qualifications and vocational skills in hospitality and catering services, and pre-employment skills. We also provide a Transition Service, offering young school leavers with learning difficulties the information and support they require to make the move from school into further education, training and employment.
