Our goal is to make life better for people with learning disabilities and their families in Oldham. We will do this by supporting people’s rights, independence, choice and inclusion. We agree the big plans to make sure Valuing People happens in Oldham. We check up that people are doing what they said they would do. We check our plans are happening to make people’s lives better. We decide how the Learning Disability Development Fund is spent. We check the money from the Development Fund is being spent properly. We help people from different organisations work together to make services better for people with learning disabilities and their families. We make sure people with learning disabilities and their families are involved in planning services. We will write a report every year to tell people about our work and how this has helped make services better. People from these organisations and groups should be on the Partnership Board: Adult and Community Services; Primary Care Trust; Education; Housing; Leisure; Employment Service; Job Centre; Advocacy Group; Self advocates; Family members and carers.
