Type of service: Diagnostic services

Assessment procedure: Referral from GP. Gather information from health visitor, school staff, speech and language therapist and others prior to clinic visit if possible. Meeting with parents and child and paediatrician usually one and a half hours. History and examination. Then opinion and information given and other assessments and referrals to be arranged.

Follow up service: Yes, usually seen again within six months.

Multi-disciplinary assessment: Yes, professions involved: Clinical psychology, paediatrics, speech and language therapy, use of others including psychiatry, occupational therapy, dietician (diet), audiologist, opthamologist etc as necessary.

Age: For people of any age

Aimed at: Adolescent , Child

Gender: All genders

Referral Sources: NHS Only
