Palatine Primary School is a special primary school catering for 4-11 year olds with a range of special needs children are grouped according to their individual needs as is most appropriate. Therefore some children will be educated in generic classes, others in classes that provide for pupils with more severe autism. The school uses a variety of interventions including intensive interaction, Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) and aspects of a structured teaching approach. Children have access to sensory rooms, soft play, a small pool and hydro pool as appropriate. We work closely with speech therapists and occupational therapists too.
