Patricia Stead Counselling

Main information

Type of service: Counsellor, Interventions and therapies

I am a Person-Centred Counsellor working extensively with young people, adults and couples. As a counsellor I strive to provide a non-judgemental, understanding and honest relationship in a safe environment. I tailor the session to suit the client as counselling very subjective and each individual responds to different types of counselling.

As a counsellor I have counselled in primary schools and also at a community college counselling students with a diverse range of issues. In addition to my private practice I was a tutor for adults with learning and other disabilities facilitating groups on self esteem and confidence building, coping with stress and anger as well as relationships and bereavement. I was also a volunteer for six years with Cruse Bereavement Care

.Prior to becoming a counsellor I have gained a wide range of experience working with young people and adults of all ages and backgrounds within the Health Authority, Local Authority and 10 years with the voluntary sector.

I offer daytime, evening and weekend appointments in comfortable private rooms within easy access of both Leeds and Wakefield. In addition home visits are also available as well as online and telephone sessions.
