Phoenix House (Precious Homes)

Precious Homes Limited

Main information

Type of service: Residential services

Phoenix House has evolved from a combination of the support and environment and support at both Roman House and Prince Regent Autism Specific Residential Services, and will support young people and adults aged 18-65 year olds with autism spectrum disorders and who may also have a learning disability, mental health issues and behaviour that may be described as challenging. The service has been designed to support individuals stepping down from secure units and settings and who require spacious and autism-friendly environments to develop independence and to reduce challenging behaviour as well as two transition flats for individuals who are working towards moving onto supported living. The new service will support up to 9 individuals and will consist of:

· 4 bespoke single service flats each with their own bedroom, living room, kitchen and dining space, ensuite and space for sleep-in or waking night staff:

· These flats have been created for individuals who find it difficult to live alongside others or whose behaviour may significantly affects others at this stage. Individuals will however be supported to integrate with others over time with the aim to moving onto a shared house residential service over time.

· 2 bespoke of these flats are 'transition flats' and have been designed specifically as a stepping stone to supported living.

The service will also have a 3 bedded house for individuals who are better suited to a bedroom and ensuite and who will have access to the communal living room and dining room. This service is ideal for individuals who benefit from a balance between personal and communal space and living alongside others more closely. All individuals across the service will also have access to the:

· IT suite

· music room

· sensory room

· outside sensory garden area including outside bowling alley
