Main information

Type of service: Outreach, Supported living schemes

Places for People Scotland Care & Support (PfPSC&S) provides personalised care and support alongside around 600 people with learning disabilities and those coping with poor mental health across both older and young people in Edinburgh and the Lothians. We work with people with a range of vulnerabilities, around 600 at any time, the majority of whom have severe and complex needs as a result of learning disabilities, mental health issues, autism and physical disabilities. We work with individuals who find community living and engaging with support particularly challenging. We aim to find ways to empower people to lead the recovery of their wellbeing and sense of self-worth, be enabled to lead happy and fulfilling lives, have a greater sense of hope for the future and to feel as included and involved in their chosen community.
