PODS (Parents Opening Doors) Parent Carer Forum is an independent Telford and Wrekin based charity for parent carers who have a child of young person between the ages of 0 and 25 years, with a disability or additional need of any kind - offering you the opportunity to share your views and to participate in joint decisions made about local services. We work across a range of services including health, social care, education and alongside voluntary sector partners - at local, regional and national level. "Parent carer participation is when parents and professionals work together, recognising each other's knowledge, to make informed decision about services that make the best use of resources". We also host Face 2 Face Befriender scheme offering peer led emotional and practical support by a team of Face 2 Face befrienders..
