Prince Regent

Precious Homes Limited

Main information

Type of service: Residential services

.

Prince Regent promotes independence both at home and in the community, provides a low arousal, spacious autism-specific environment with support by a consistent and robust support team. This service supports adults (16-65 years) with autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) and who may also have: Learning Disabilities; Mental Health Issues; and Behaviour which may be described as Challenging. We support individuals along their care pathway to become more independent and confident both at home and in the community over time. All of the adults currently being supported have moved in from secure units and settings and have already shown a significant decrease in stress, anxiety and challenging behaviour and increase in time spent in the community doing activities of their choice eg gym and sports, learning centre, social groups, eating out. Individuals living at Prince Regent are aged 23-50 years old. We take compatibility of individuals very seriously and as part of our assessment, we would consider whether the individual is likely to settle and be comfortable living alongside the other adults and vice versa. As Prince Regent has a lot of space, both personal and communal, we are also able to reduce issues of compatibility. The management and support team have extensive experience in supporting individuals with autism-spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, mental health issues and challenging behaviour to be involved back in the community and to lead the life they choose with minimal stress and anxiety. Three of Glen's, our Director of Operations, previous services at Precious Homes have gained Autism Accreditation from The National Autistic Society (NAS) and Prince Regent is working towards theirs..
