Throughout my autistic life I have been to many counsellors, but what I really needed was practical steps to do certain things I found difficult, or to learn generally how to lead my life. I found coaching and decided to train to help those like me, who, instead of delving too much into the trauma, need to find ways of moving forward. My groups will be talking based, along with some activities to work on by yourself or with a friend if you wish. My one to one sessions are more focused on you, and is mostly just talking. The aim is to set out a clear goal of what your aiming for, and to come away with some practical actions to take away.
