Research Autism is the only UK charity exclusively dedicated to research into interventions in autism. Established in 2003, its goal is the improvement of quality of life and outlook for the individuals affected and those around them. It commissions, carries out and supports high quality, independent research into new and existing health, education, social and other interventions with the active support of some of the world's leading figures in autism and research. Research Autism is the only UK autism organisation to carry the Information Standard for its website www.researchautism.net which provides reliable, scientifically-based information on issues and interventions. Research Autism also produce the renowned Lorna Wing conference series for people with autism, parents/carers and professionals. The conferences are an opportunity to learn from researchers, practitioners and people on the autism spectrum.
