Main information

Type of service: Interventions and therapies

Resources for Autism (RfA) offer autism specialist, state registered arts therapists for people with a diagnosis of autism wherever they are on the spectrum. Music or Art Therapy can offer an alternative way of unlocking emotion, dealing with anxiety and communicating. It can help increase concentration and interaction. Individual therapy is usually offered for between six months to a year and occasionally in shorter blocks and therapy groups are usually for a set number of weeks. There is a four week assessment period during which the Therapist will work with you to establish what would be most helpful. There is likely to be a waiting list for therapy services and currently these are only available at our North London Base. There is a charge which is means tested and no one is turned away for financial reasons. If you would like a place please fill in the referral form. RfA also provide commissioned therapy services to schools, nurseries and adult services. For more information please telephone.
