The Department of Additional Support (DAS) serves the area of Glenrothes and surrounding villages. This is a specialist resource for children with moderate to complex learning needs who are unable to attend mainstream education full time. Places are allocated through a rigorous application process involving school management and partner Fife agencies including sensory support and educational psychology. Pupils within the DAS experience a personalised curriculum within small group settings and inclusion with mainstream learning as appropriate. Volunteers may be accepted to work with the pupils.
