Salisbury Support 4 Autism prides itself on its placement success. This is due to our bespoke training, forward-thinking approaches to behaviour management and our belief that staff development underpin our high-quality support. Hayfield House, is our new, 4-bed supported living service in Swadlincote, Derbyshire. This is Salisbury Support 4 Autism’s first service outside of London.

The Hayfield House service aims to support individuals that may find day-to-day life a challenge, and by working closely with them, we aim to support and encourage them to move forwards positively. Helping individuals:
 Increase their individual self-esteem
 Build relations with the community allowing them to feel valued
 To continue to learn, whether that be day-to-day living skills or through education
 To have a greater awareness of the life opportunities available to them
 To help the individuals understand that this will be their home and their rights that come with this
 To develop the individual’s awareness around their behaviours: that it is a form of communication, what this may mean for them and how they can begin to self-manage this.
 To understand the function behind individual behaviour and to show them different approaches to communicate their wants and needs.
 To increase their independence with the long-term goal of decreasing their support needs and potentially, moving on to a more community-based setting.
