SCTCI staff work with both children and adults who have significant limitations to their ability to communicate through speech, in 10 Health Board areas. Our aim is to help to improve an individual's communication opportunities through the use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). We provide an independent assessment service on an outreach basis; offer training and education; provide telephone advice and consultation; are involved in research and development; and have a library of resources.
