Sefton Advocacy

Southport

Main information

Type of service: Advocacy (general)

Sefton Advocacy is a generic service and advocates for a broad range of individuals. This can be crisis intervention, or longer term citizen advocacy. Sefton Advocacy also supports self-advocacy and user involvement groups. If a client has difficulty in instructing or lacks capacity to instruct Sefton Advocacy uses a 'best practice' non instructed advocacy model. The organisation has much experience in alternative methods of communication and 'best interests' advocacy. The advocates are trained to act in partnership with a vulnerable person in a way that builds confidence and empowers people to achieve self-advocacy where possible..
