Provides Domiciliary Care and Support including Personal Care, Supported Living, Residential Homes, Community Life Choices and Short Breaks to adults with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism, Mental Health Needs including Asperger's Syndrome, individuals with a dual diagnosis and complex needs, and those with physical disabilities/sensory impairments. We specialise in providing positive behaviour management to individuals who require consistent and structured care and support by trained and skilled staff.

Skills for living Leicestershire are a local company established in 1995. They have supported individuals with autism/ mental health needs including Asperger's Syndrome for 18 years. The provider is RNLD trained. They have a Positive Behaviour Manager and Communications Manager who work in partnership with Health Care Professionals in particular The Outreach team, The Agnes Unit, The Hawthorns, The Orchard Centre, The Bradgate Unit, Simon Carnell (LCC RESPECT BILD accredited trainer). All of whom have gained a wealth of knowledge achieving optimum health and well -being to all the individuals they support. .

All referrals are dealt with by their Referrals Manager (Lorraine Burton) who takes the initial details then organises visits to the individual/relatives/professionals to carry out a Care Needs Assessment. Once this is established their PCP manager collates information with the individual and all stakeholders to produce comprehensive person centred plans which include life history, aim and ambitions, support plans and daily routines, Health Action Plan, Communication Passport, Timetable of Activities, They take Adults Social Care and Personal Budget referrals.
