The name of the unit for pupils with an autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) is The Communication and Interaction Resource Base. This resource base for up to 13 children with an ASD, but also those with communication and interaction difficulties, is situated in a mainstream school. It is one of 5 bases in Oxfordshire. Children are given an individual programme and are educated in small groups. Some children are included within the mainstream classes with support. Volunteers may be accepted to work with the pupils. Another intervention, approach and programme offered by the school is Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA).
