This is a day school catering for pupils aged 6-19 years. There is an integrated community special school catering for pupils with a wide range of disabilities. The school aims to cater for each pupil’s individual needs. Pupils are taught in various types of groups. The autism unit is for children with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD). However these children are integrated into either the main body of the school or college. Some children with an ASD are integrated wholly into the main body of the school. This service contains ASD specific elements. Qualifications that can be obtained at the school are General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE), National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) Agored Cymru units, Welsh Baccalaureate qualification and pupils can also work towards the Certificate of Education. Volunteers may be accepted to work with the pupils. Other facilities provided by the school are Education, autistic unit, independent living skills, disability bungalow and bedsit, and provision of learning coaches 14-19 years.
