St John Vianney RC School is the Diocese of Salford’s Special School, which is widely recognised for its excellent educational and pastoral provision. We pride ourselves on being a happy, caring and welcoming community, where the learning environment and the wide range of opportunities offered help every child reach their full potential. We are accredited by the National Autistic Society and have been since 2010. Our latest accreditation was achieved in 2020. 

We cater for children and young people who have Asperger syndrome, Autism, Challenging behaviour, Moderate learning disabilities, Hearing or Visual impairment or Physical disability. The school has an affiliation to the Roman Catholic religion but we welcome children & young people from all faiths within Greater Manchester. The main Local Authorities we work with are: Manchester, Salford, Trafford, Stockport, Bury, Rochdale, Tameside, Cheshire East and Warrington.
