St Malachy's High School is a co-educational mainstream school which caters for the full range of pupils from 11-18 years. St. Malachy's provides a moderate learning disability unit, staffed by trained specialists, for pupils with particular learning difficulties. Pupils in the unit join in the full range of school activities. They are free at break and lunchtime to mix with all the pupils in their year groups, within the junior/senior divide. They join their peers on school trips and are represented on the school sports teams. When appropriate, peripatetic support from the South Eastern Education and Library Board is provided for ASD pupils.

Covers: Ards and North Down, Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon, Lisburn and Castlereagh, Newry, Mourne and Down
